Association Management Software
Microsoft Dynamics 365
Create a personalized member experience from the moment you meet.
Anticipate and manage change with predictive analytics and streamlined processes.
Keep it simple with familiar tools that deliver powerful insight.
Innovate the right new ideas with metrics and processes that serve you.
You’re about to make a very important decision and you’ve got a lot of things to consider. What your members want and need. The financial wellness of your organization. The happiness of your employees with respect to how they get their work done.
For more than 30 years the Protech family has devoted itself to helping association leaders like you put technology to work. Over the years, we’ve seen pretty much everything. In fact, more than half of our team have been here a decade or longer!
One of the smartest things we ever did was provide our software as a service in the Cloud. What makes Alliance by Protech so special is that we have built our Association Management Software right into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. Your employees will get everything they need to succeed in their mission, and yet it will look and feel like the familiar Microsoft solutions they’ve been using for years.
From a leadership standpoint, it’s important to know that our solution is robust and scalable. It will grow with you so that you can bring solutions on board as they are needed. We’re committed to delivering family-style service on an enterprise level.
There’s a lot more to tell. We’re only just beginning the conversation. But we’d love to have a chat with you about how we can bring our experience to help you solve the challenges you face.
Just pick up the phone and ask for Rob (443-539-9596). Or, if you’re not ready for that, go ahead and grab a copy of our “getting started” guide, “AMS Remorse: Protech Opens the Kimono” or attend one of our informational webinars.
We look forward to knowing you and welcoming you to the Protech family.
It’s not very complicated, really. We’re here to make your work simpler and your impact more profound. With more than a century of combined senior leadership experience, Protech Associates has the depth of experience your association needs to solve the three leadership dilemmas that plague nearly every association manager:
As CEO, Brian has helped drive the performance of Protech. His unwavering passion for excellence and market knowledge has helped Protech develop a comprehensive yet flexible and easy-to-use solution for our clients.
Brian is committed to our industry and plays a leadership role in the advancement of association technology as a Microsoft Certified 365 Professional and a member of the ASAE Industry Partner Alliance Committee.
When Brian is not busy at the office, he is spending time with his wife, their three sons, and two yellow Labs. Brian is a lifelong sports fan, an experienced team player, and a dedicated coach.
Frank is one of Protech’s founding partners and is our key leader for product vision, strategy, and innovation. A love of technology during his undergrad years expanded into helping his dad (Frank II) with his consulting practice – the roots of Protech as we now know it.
Living by the mantra, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” Frank is devoted to finding the BEST of all possible solutions, not just the easiest one. When not building innovation at work, Frank loves to ride his motorcycle, fish, and go to the beach with his wife and their three children.
Kevin’s passion is to transform customers into advocates. Toward that end, Kevin is devoted to helping our clients maximize the value of their investment with Protech. He has been instrumental in driving systems and process improvements to more effectively deliver client solutions.
Kevin is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Professional for Microsoft Dynamics 365. His passion for technology was fueled by growing up in an IT family. He went on to study business management at Towson University before joining the
When Kevin is not building client relationships, he is spending time with his wife, three children, and, of course, the family dog, Dewey.
Steve guides Protech’s team of certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) and Microsoft Dynamics Certified Solution Consultants. He’s been with Protech for close to two decades and has made an impact on many areas of the organization.
Today, Steve is responsible for driving innovation in delivery of Protech’s AMS solution. He works continuously with the management team to set and deliver the strategic direction of the organization and design strong policies and processes that ensure effective customer implementations. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional for 365.
When he’s not working with clients or our world-class implementation team, he enjoys spending time with his family, refereeing basketball or watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
At his core, Rob thrives on building relationships, so he was the ideal person to be responsible for growing new customer additions to the Protech family. Rob has been with Protech for nearly 30 years now, and, over that time, he has developed a deep and thorough understanding of membership-based organizations.
Rob leads the Protech sales team and is particularly gifted at customizing the Protech solution based on individual customer requirements.
When not at the office, Rob will be at home (or beach) with his wife, their kids, and, of course, the dog, Biscuit, and cats, Bumper and Skippy.
As Vice President of Information Technology, Brian is responsible for overseeing the Protech corporate infrastructure as well as all aspects of managing the technical components of customer implementation and support.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Virginia Tech. He set out to be a doctor, but after he met the Bruffey family, he decided instead to become a “doctor” of IT instead. He holds certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Installation and Deployment, Microsoft Solomon installation and Configuration, MSCE, MCP, and A+.
As Director of Customer Care, Matt is responsible for ensuring Protech’s customers receive the highest level of assistance while utilizing Protech’s application suite
Effectively addressing customers’ needs is something Matt learned from his father, Frank Bruffey, Jr., early on in his career at Protech. Combining this knowledge with his experiences as a Solutions Consultant and Project Manager at Protech led to Matt collaborating with his brother, Kevin Bruffey, to form Protech’s customer care department in 2005.
Mary Ann leads Protech’s expert Consulting Team and is devoted to providing Protech customers with unwavering, top-notch professional services.
Mary Ann graduated from University of Maryland with an accounting degree and put that to good use as the controller for an education association and as a staff accountant for a local CPA firm.
When she is not working with her customers, you will find Mary Ann exploring the great outdoors, anywhere there is music or spending time with her three kids.
Terry spends his time at Protech as the Vice President of Client Services, making sure that each of our clients gets our full attention when they need us the most. If any problem arises, Terry will make sure that it is resolved so that associations can get back to accomplishing their missions. Through his work, Protech is able to deliver “exceptional customer experiences.”
Terry holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Information Technology and uses those skills to solve the toughest problems for our customers.
As Business Development Manager, Rob guides a talented team as they develop relationships with more than 8,000 membership-based organizations. A seasoned sales professional with over 20 years of experience, Rob also collaborates with the sales and marketing teams to grow partnerships between associations and Protech.
When he’s not helping our business development representatives hone their craft, Rob loves to travel, spend time with his Golden Retriever, Roxie, and is a devoted Washington-area sports fan.
Protech has worked collaboratively with us to come up with solutions to our issues and implement them.
Because Protech’s solution is built on using Microsoft Dynamics CRM, staff adoption has been easy and the transition from the legacy system was seamless.
Protech does not only offer excellent customer service, but they are also a one-stop-shop when it comes to your IT infrastructure—everything is in one place. Protech has been more of a partner to CLARB, not a vendor. They have helped us to identify ways to improve our service to our customers and members.
We were looking for a solution that was packed with functionality right out of the box. Protech offers an extensive list of association-specific tools seamlessly integrated with best-in-breed technology tools.
The Microsoft platform has made the system more accessible to our users because of its familiar interface, while Protech’s association-specific tools make it possible to solve more business problems.
Many thanks for such a quick turnaround! When you say, “family first,” you really mean it. It’s a pleasure to work with your team.
I can’t say enough about Protech and its implementation team; they are absolutely incredible to work with. The initial success we have achieved is only the beginning of what we hope to accomplish—and our partnership with Protech will be the basis for helping us realize our plans.
I love my Protech. The response time and effort by your staff to resolve issues is fantastic.
My team and I are so thankful for Protech. Our 14-year relationship has enabled drastic improvements and growth in our organization.
