Background: Leading with a science-based approach, the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) provides its diverse membership with extensive educational resources, technical advice and peer engagement. In addition, the association advocates for the industry, actively advancing research and promoting innovation, safety and sustainability.
Challenges: Facing an urgent need for digital transformation, NAPA required a solution that could handle highly specialized and complex requirements. Critical capabilities on their list included an improved website experience, ease of adoption and use for staff and members, improved data integrity and automation of their highly complex calculations for membership dues.
Solution: A targeted, agile approach, coordinated with NAPA’s leadership and team champions, enabled Protech to deliver a multi-layered implementation of Protech’s UX member database and MX e-commerce solution. Through a proven, stepped approach, NAPA’s data was fully migrated from their legacy DOS-like system while they worked with Protech’s dedicated team to complete deployment, configuration and staff training. In addition, the Protech team developed a module specialized for automating their complex member dues calculation. The resulting solution empowers members to take control of their memberships while dramatically reducing the burden of manual and redundant tasks for staff.
